‘The Sea’ captures my recent move to Port Kembla, a coastal town on the South Coast of New South Wales. Living back by the coast has been something I have wanted to do for the last 10 years or maybe my whole life. Having lived in Fiji as a child, the water has always been very important me, giving me that feeling of calm and gratitude. The wild, spontaneous brushstrokes draw on my memories of the sea’s movement and the changing light across its surface.
